History
1997 The company
Dufa Romania is founded, a joint venture between
Meffert AG (Germany) and two Romanian investors.
1998-2001 The local paint production in the factory in Bucharest begins, keeping the German technology and quality standards.
2003
Danke! brand appears which says
"Paint like the Germans do!".
2005 The company was acquired by
Advent International, a US investment fund, and soon they changed its name to
Deutek SA.
2009 The
Oskar brand is born, a brand that creates some of the most innovative products on the paint market in Romania.
2013
Deutek SA is acquired by the investment fund
EEAF - Emerging Europe Accession Fund.
2017
Deutek SA becomes part of
PPG Industries, the world leader in paint production and marketing.
